Fort Christmas Historical Museum

Fort Christmas Historical Museum is one of the best free things to do in Orlando. Its located in Christmas 20 miles (32.19 km) east of Orlando. 

Visit the full size replica of Fort Christmas which was original build for the second seminal Indian war. 

Included are seven restored pioneer homes and exhibits showing pioneer life from the 1870’s through the 1930’s. Key themes are home homesteading, cattle, hunting, fishing and trapping.

The park has three picnic pavilions that have large barbecue grills, electrical outlets and water hoses. 

There is a playground with swings, slides, a Fort looking jungle gym and area for small children. A great family day out.

The incredible Universal Island of Adventure

Universal theme park is not in the International Drive, but they are considered in the I. Drive district. 

Topping the bill of things to do in Orlando simply must be Universal’s Island of Adventure.

While other theme parks around town tend to cater more towards certain ages groups or tastes, Island of Adventures has got it all! 

Live action stunt shows and entertain the kids, roller coasters and theme drives tower overhead. Immersive simulators place you in the middle of your favorite movie.

Opened in 1999 Island of Adventures is made up with eight theme different areas with the latest ” The Wizarding World of Harry Potter ” pulling the most visitors each day.

Come have fun where the comic books super heroes come to life. This 26 year old theme park lives to make you ride the movies.

Devil’s Den Natural Springs is located at 1h30m south of Orlando it was formed when a roof of a subterranean river collapsed thousands of years ago and became this beautiful wonder. Beautiful place to dive and explore.

Mythos Restaurant is an award-winning restaurant situated in Universal island of Adventure.

The interior exhibits the prehistoric setting quite well but the menu is far away from the caveman thing.
